Rivet News Radio partners with WBEZ 91.5FM to feature award-winning Worldview program;
Innovative radio app adds public radio to list of content contributors
CHICAGO – WBEZ 91.5FM, a subsidiary of Chicago Public Media, and HearHere Radio, Inc., the company behind Rivet News Radio, have announced a strategic partnership to feature WBEZ’s long-running global affairs program Worldview on the Rivet app. Starting today, Worldview will be available in Rivet playlists, with new shows being added daily.
“We’re excited about what Rivet can do to expand the audience for Jerome McDonnell and Worldview,” said Alison Scholly, COO of Chicago Public Media.
Rivet News Radio is establishing itself as the go-to audio information platform in the mobile space. Rivet’s offerings are expanding to provide comprehensive coverage across the news landscape with a combination of in-house reporters and external media partners.
“Beyond our commitment to producing our own high-quality content, we’re focused on delivering news from trusted media sources listeners already know and love,” said John MacLeod, HearHere Radio founder and CEO. “Our goal is to give news consumers a one-stop shop for all the coverage they value. Offering them Worldview is a landmark on our road to that goal.”
Rivet News Radio is a free iPhone app offering an unrivaled personalized news experience. The company anticipates continued expansion of content contributors such as Chicago Public Media, Crain’s Chicago Business and the Associated Press this year.
